Just bought some retro ICE of the’bay. I wanted the amp and CD player, so these bits are surplus... I can’t confirm if anything works but I was told they all did before they were stored in his loft by the middle-aged chap I bought them off, who in turn bought them all new. Back in the ‘80s, he had both graphics and the Pioneers in his Manta...
Philips Hi-Q 140 stereo Equaliser booster. Looks ace! £10
PYE 2662 Graphic Booster Equaliser. Need to check if the missing slider is anywhere in the box. £6
Pioneer TS1640 two-way shelf speakers. Yeah, what a pair of bad boys! Look in tidy condition and the tilt of the tweeters still works. £15
Ford stereo. Looks to be mid-late ‘80s. Will need attention to the wiring as although the blocks are there the actual wires have been cut really short. £4.
Alpine 7521RM face-off cassette head unit and CHM S620 six-disc changer.
This is one I bought at a different time off ebay and I got right royally shafted... Described as in ‘working order’, I’m not entirely convinced! It powers up but can’t remember if sound came out as the ISO plugs aren’t in the best condition – there’s Sellotape holding them together! Power went to the CD changer (includes the lead and mounting brackets) but couldn’t get the magazine out. There’s no cage and it has wear to two of the front radio preset six-buttons at the very least.
That said, it’s presentable enough and would clean up quite nice. Owes me £20 plus £10 p&p. Anyone wants it for £10 then they’re welcome to come and get it – the lead alone goes for pretty much that.
Collection from Gloucester GL4 or also from B50 4JS (Bidford-upon-Avon, nr Stratford) during work hours. Can post if need be or happy to wrap for your own courier.
