Any electronics experts? Need an equivalent to BTS426L1

The LCM module on my BMW has failed and means the lights are always on and the brake lights are on.

Apparently there are a number of these transistors - BTS426L1 that fail and can be replaced, only thing is I can't find anyone with stock in the UK. I'm told Texas Instruments LM2575T-15 is the same, can anyone confirm this? I can handle a soldering iron but don't know enough to know if I can use these instead. Can anyone help or point me towards a source of the BTS426L1 that I can get ASAP as the BMW is my only car

google both part numbers and find datasheets for them both, then compare the pin outs and thier functions. If they match then you are all good.

BTS426 is a very common high side automotive switching MOSFET. Depending on the package (surface mount / TO220 through hole) you can get them off ebay or RS components/farnell.

The BTS432 is a drop-in replacement, but will switch 9A instead of 7A - I always replace 426s with 432s, they are not really any more expensive.

EDIT: you can test yours fairly easily - set your multimeter to diode check mode and test between each of the outer pins and the heatsink tab - if they are dead short (0.0v) then the MOSFET has failed on. they usually fail this way, or explode.
