I bought my little 5 last year as a mini project, after a mad overdose of nostalgia hit me. The car was in decent condition, but the paint was flat and needed quite a lot to get it to the standard which I wanted her, but it was solid and was original. The old girl has had: Complete interior re trim Professional respray New exhaust system (scorpion) New koni shocks and springs New front and rear bumpers New headlights New indicators New yellow foggies New discs and pads New wheel bearings New alternator New water pump New rear number plate lights Replica dealer plates Original mats Original stereo New header tank Replacement bonnet mat Replaced steering wheel New side decals & replacement window stickers Original Speedlines replaced with the "Cup wheels" New tailgate New dial replacement New flocked door cards All in all, it's cost me a blimmin fortune, but it's now complete and I love driving it around. I get plenty of thumbs ups and beeps when I drive it around, it's a real head turner. (Considering its a French hatchback) I've replaced the mats and steering wheel since this pic was taken.

Thanks chaps. Appreciate the comments. It's been a labour of love, but it is love nonetheless. When it's dry again, it'll have a couple more improvements made & I'll load some more pics up. Currently rebuilding an old BSA C15 too. Oh I almost forgot

Love that, served part of my apprenticeship in a Renault garage in the early 90's, one of these was the first Turbocharged car i'd driven , replaced by the Clio 16V which was never quite the same. Cracking job , looks great on the steels, cant see the problem spending money on a car if you love it and are going to keep it for a while.

Thanks fella, you're spot on, it's worth spending money on it, if you're going to keep it. She spends most of her time with a blanket over her in my garage. She gets used As soon as there is a dry day. Slot, My Beeser is a 1959 model mate, in green. It's a nut and bolt restore. Nearly ready to re assemble. Got a spare room full of parts and a powder coated frame!

I prefer the steelies, purely cos there isn't anyone else (I'm aware of) running the same wheels on a tungy & the rims are really rare nowadays (they're off a gt turbo cup racing car). Raider wheels are just Speedlines painted blue, you might be thinking of turbines?

Looks great, though must admit I think the wheels could look even better with some detail-painting with a slightly darker grey in their recesses to exaggerate & show off their styling more dramatically, & maybe badged bearing caps as a finishing touch. They look a good size.

They look a good size. I like the idea of the centre caps getting badged. Gonna leave them the one colour though. Cheers for sharing your thoughts. I'm going to get some silver renault badge stickers for the caps

I really like it, especially the wheels. I built a modified Campus with Turbo spares on it a few years ago to scratch the itch I had since owning a standard 1.1 as my second car. My plan for the original car I had was to fit Turbo suspension and steel wheels and then fit a Gordini crossflow head/engine possibly with a Turbo on it. It didn't happen,I sold it and bought an XR2 !

Once again, thanks for the kind words. Originally they were off of a cup racing car, But I bought them off a friend of mine who had them in his garage for years. They've been powder coated and have renault extra van centre caps on. They idea of the centre caps was from Brigs, who runs the same type of rim on his extra gt turbo van.
