I wondered if it was worth marking out braking area cones like Brands Hatch do on their track/training days,.. stops inexperienced people getting over adventurous on Paddock Hill and Druids, seeing as it is easy to roll on Paddock and even easier (pre-recent rework) to bin it in the kitty litter on Druids. When I started out circuit racing, my instructor said this was one of the worse ideas he'd seen. People become focused on a cone, and not on what they are doing You then get everyone trying to brake later than the cone! I get the idea though, it looks mega narrow in the footage ive got it! gaffer tape a bamboo cane to either side of the car sticking out two foot. when the cane snaps and hits the windscreen you know its time to adjust the steering.

Or, remind everyone that its not a race and many experienced people before them have got it very very wrong!

my opinion on the hill but its been a good few years since i have raced there. Very fast, very narrow, no run off and very hard to get right, incredibly rewarding when you do get it right. Gutted we cant make it this year.

Ooooh how I wish I'll be there!! I have to get the Giulia ready in time, find motivated English-speaking friends and find a way to pack two 600-mile journeys across the Channel and some time there in two and a half days. It will be hectic!!

It could encourage people to brake later than they should considering the age and capability of their brakes compared with modern or uprated brakes.
