The gen4 was the first Camaro to come with the proper LS series, which is what it's all about. T56 manuals are also the LS box of user-cogging choice. I could live with the looks easily, but I'd have a better time living with the same generation of trans am. Those also suffer some crimes in the UK market, but by god they have the mean gene.

The S197 Mustang was on my list of cars I really want until I saw (and heard ) the 5th generation Camaro. Way cooler than the 'stang I think. For me the jury's out on the 4th generation ones - I do like these though......

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

I like the 4th gen Camaro. Yeah I said it Though I do prefer the earlier(?) one, with the smaller grille Later one, but it looks good Redneck edition

Yes I like the shape, especially before the bigger headlights... even if I like the idea of flush.. Never realized so much of the grille was filled in before.

I'm a fan for much the same reason as you. They seem to be being used for Autocross a lot more now in the states so maybe more decent looking ones will emerge.
