darn- What I consider the holy grail of saabs - First time I have seriously considered buying a car in an auction. It looks exceptional and it probably wouldn't even need a respray.

Can see it going for about 2,500 I reckon - As great as old saabs are they are not that sought after. I think Top Gear's article on saab may of helped things, especially with the 99....

Have always wanted to discover a car locked away somewhere .... best I ever did was a mini - BAP931K which had sat in a road close to me for a few years - rotten as a pear.

Just watched a movie I got for Crimbly (Hard Way with Patrick McGoohan)One of the main cars in it was a Saab Turbo the spit of that, was only thinking how rare they must be.. Very Nice

Grrreight find, although the description of the auction house themselves suggests it needs restoration. Not just a quick spit and polish it would seem.

Hi, I agree with Fred, dealers like to intercept things like this before they go to auction. Because they know they will be outbid by private punters who let their hearts rule their heads.

TDK, judging by the pattern of dirt on the windscreen and roof that has been parked under a corrugated roof in a barn or garage for a considerable time.

just read that, shame the relationship went sour, but good to see confirmation that it really is totally rust free.

That's an interesting link, shame it all went sour but that's what happens when money is involved sometimes.

I see the auctioneers publish the auction results on their web site so it will be interesting to see what it makes, actually the previous sale results are quite interesting on their own right, some cars are making big money but there's still a few going cheap.
