The Monza is finally back at my workshop and is pretty much back in one piece, Just a few little bits and pieces to put back on and then chuck a bucket of water over it and take it for a MOT jobs today. - finished putting the interior in - refit front wings - refit bumpers - fit headlights grill etc - refit body mouldings ( I didn't even break any of the clips ) - fit the new wheels minus the spacers anyway enough waffle, it's picture time.

After driving it around the farm today the suspension has now settled and is a little bit lower than in the picture, but I think a drop of around 50mm will happen as funds allow.

Don't drop it lower than the tops of the tyre to level with the lowest point of the arches, design of the rear suspension means it adversely affects the handling.

As I hoped it passed!!!! But it did get one advisory, slight play in NS front wheel bearing, When I got back to my workshop I checked it and found no play that I could detect. I know I'm not a MOT tester but it seems fine to me,time will tell. I do need to bleed the brakes again as they feel a bit spongie but work ok.

It's finally finished, The brake master cylinder has been changed, The wheel bearing has been tightened (rookie mistake, I checked the wrong side). And I've been doing a couple of subtle mods to give the old girl a slightly different look, I took the Monza out yesterday to put a few miles on just to check everything was OK and I'm glad to report no problems!! At this time! So next stop will be Billing Aquadrome for a weekend of beer and BBQs. Maybe see some of you there, Ps any guises as to what I've done,

Well done Phil, yeh the indicator lenses have been tinted, I got a mate to mix up some tinted lacquer and spray them, we had 2 goes at this as the first time they looked great off the car but when I put them on they were too dark and looked totally wrong, but I think we nailed it second time round, enough tint to soften the original in your face amber but with out being blacked out. it's subtle enough that it's not in your face but gives the car a little extra something and freshens things up a bit. I luv it, it's now more my kind of style, now just got to save up and get myself a lowering stick!!

That's amazing, how did you get an ashtray in there! As for the ashtray, yeah it's not what you can call easy or a practical place to keep them!

Thanks, I got them from a chap I know, they came off of his Monza when he lowered his even further! they're Mantzel springs, I have to say they go in a lot easier than the original ones, didn't even need the spring compressors

It is just a smidge lower than you really want for rear geometry to cope Put Carlton/Senator spring seat pads in there - on the trailing arms - that would probably give you about 5-8 mm which would be bob on Great find on the springs - they look well made and correct wire diameter

Front resolution is easy - choppy choppy - 1 full coil if they are OE springs
