I like that but not so sure on the last few words of the add "road legal UNTIL next winter" am I just reading to much into it.. |

It's been for sale for a while, I quite like it, though I've always liked stubby T's. However I know who the guy who built it (and has it for sale) is and I wouldn't go near it with a 30 foot pole.

At the risk of opening a tin of worms, I'm guessing it's a Herald/ Spitfire chassis chopped about a bit with a 'glass T-bucket body applied. Fuel tank attached, other bits attached and off we go. It's probably a hoot, maybe even Awesome but to me it's a Special rather than a Hotrod. From the ad: |

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary. |

i like it, but like matt i know history of seller.
i think the seller is saying your road legal for this years show season, then mot and tax in the winter.

No there hasn't been any law change that means it can't be re-MOTed. It even says at the beginning of the ad that he's selling it with 9 months MOT and 8 months tax (although technically speaking 8 months until you next don't have to pay any money for the free tax). If it's all totally stock Triumph with a glass fibre body on top then it's perfectly legal to register it as a rebodied Triumph. I think you're reading to much into it - he's just stating that 9 months MOT and 8 months tax takes you to next winter. Ish. Depending on when your definition of winter starts. I thought it was kind of ugly when I looked at it first time, I came over a bit Kev Elliot at the steering rack and things, but the more I look at it the more I think how much fun it would be. Picturing it splattered in mud is what did it for me; it looks like a great little car to hoon around in. As said, maybe a bit more of a special than a hot rod, but also maybe something to not be too precious about. I'd probably be a bit picky and install things like, say, an actual seat, but yeah I'd rock that. |

Hmmm...... google Sammio Spyder or Bay Area Hot Rods if you are seriously thinking of buying this. I'd rather take the bus.
