It really pains me to do this as I flipping love this car but I'm sticking it up for sales. It's the later X308 XJ Jaguar with the 4.0 Supercharged v8 engine. That means 370bhp and 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. It's fast.
It's either this has to go or my SD1. I've had serious thoughts about selling that too and just buying something mega but I'm not sure if I'm ready to let that go yet,
The colour is meteorite silver with 18" alloys. The interior is black sports electric leather with piano black trim, which I recon is the best combo. As it's the X308 it's got the revised interior with the round binnacles and a slightly more modern looking dash.
There's a great spex with climate control, electric seats, electric windows etc and it all works. There's also a a nice stainless steel exhaust fitted so it sounds great without it being too intrusive.
It drive lovely and is a really dosile cruiser until you put your foot down and it just picks up and goes. The autobox is smooth and it all goes as you'd expect it to. It's also has nearly 400 ft lb of torque so needs a bit of respect in the wet or dry really.
The previous owner fitted new wings, bonnet and driver side rear door from a breaker he had because the old ones had rust issues (it's HPI clear). The paint on these panels is meteorite silver but not quite the same meteorite silver, which is a annoying and stands out the worst on the drivers door as it's the original paint between 2 new panels.
There's a few annoying little dents and a bit of bubbling on the arches as can be seen in the pictures
It's this that lets it down a bit but it's still very presentable.
It's got a stamped service book up to about 113,000 miles. There's a spare key, the v5 is in my name. Loads of MOT and Tax (see above)
These can be made to faster easier by fitting a different supercharger pulley, which increases the boost and gives you an extra 40 bhp for about £200. Not that it really needs it mind but it's a mod I had in mind.
All in it's a nice car for the money and I doubt there's a cheaper way to go faster classier.
I'm looking for £2100. I might take a PX if it's something interesting and I'm in Ayrshire West Coast of Scotland.
Here's some internet melting pictures and a shakey CAM iphone video.
