So after a few calls to insurance companies it looks like I won't get insured on my Rascal... I was told by my Insurance Policy with my Mini that I had to be 19 and have held a licence for one year... The only company that would cover me wanted over £6000 so it looks like I'm going to have to sell my Little van :/ I'm Reet Annoyed. Have you tried aviva van insurance? Mine was like 900 a year and that was my first ever insurance policy

Just a thought, have you tried getting a quote with someone female (Mother or partner) on the insurance as an additional driver? I've got a 2.8TD Daihatsu Fourtrak that I use to tow my 4x4/Off roader with and when I got quotes, it worked out cheaper if I added my Mrs on there as a named driver. She'll hardly ever drive the thing, but if it makes a difference to the quote, it's worth it. Will

Have you tried Tesco or Adrian Flux? AF were the cheapest for me on my Modded Hilux, just make sure you speak to the right person (saved me £1100 phoning back and speaking to someone who knew what they were doing)

Tesco seem to be good if you've never been with them before... for the first year, they tempt you with a cheap first year and then whack it up and hope you can't be arsed to shop around again..

Have you told them you will be using it for business? it will make a lot of difference unfortunately the wrong way also you will have to get liability insurance, oh and don't sign write the van that will put the insurance up aswell, just get magnetic signs to stick on the side. The problem with those van if you hit anthing you're going to be toast, had a suzuki supercarry and there is really nothing structural infront of you, did find mine wasn't that good on fuel because anthing over 60 is realy quite busy in those little vans 70 was as skottie would saw 'if you giver her anymore she's gona blow!!' was nippy around town though
