the part of the exhaust that u have replaced is just the silencer. all you've done is make it stupidly loud. its the other part that is the expansion chamber. That was my single-handed aim! It's actually not too loud with the extra straight pipe on the end...

Help! Kick start has 'snapped' - I say snapped, the arm now turns all the way round and makes scratchy catchy noises when the engine has started... help!
Is it a new spring I need? How easy is casing to remove?

Do you mean its not returning when you kick it over? Don't try and use it when the engine is running you will cause damage. Bungy cords can be used as a return spring temporarily or to hold it so it doesn't try to engage.

Takes about 10 minutes to fix the kickstart ,as said remove the 8mm bolts round the casing and pull it off and the problem will become apparent fairly quickly ,luckily the mechanism is easy to source as the vast majority of the chinese peds use the same set up , You might want to make sure the kickstart hasnt come slack and is spinning on the splines on the shaft and when you think you have returned it to the right place but you actually havent hence the noise

Bike's running beautifully now with a few new bits fitted - battery, kick start spring and internals etc.
Does anyone know the laws on stripping all the fairings off and having this as a naked frame?
p.s. Dubmeister - you were right, it was a little off on the splines hence catching.

as long as it retains necessary lights and horn and has no sharp dangerous extrusions making it a skelly will be both legal and badass
