It's hard to tell what it's off, being the smallest photo ever, but it's not a Metro setup, they were blow-through rather than draw-through. It's quite possibly something aftermarket from Turbo Technics or suchlike, a lot of them used SU carbs I guess because they give more progressive fueling. Probably with something retro like a Rotomaster turbo too. Check out mr's Granada turbo thread, it looks a lot like his setup:

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Looks like a janspeed suck thru set up. looks like a pic i saw on ford power forum. that was off a pinto i believe. its a real basic set up and mine nearly works ................................ if the turbos shot be warned, i was fleeced of £360 to get mine rebuilt. mines got a rotamaster turbo on it so if thats what yours is then you wont be too dissimilar to me. the wastegate is different to mine though. mine was on the end of a bespoke exhaust manifold, that has a different type. austin turbos were blow thru carb set ups although i cant comment on the mini ones

mr just read your thread mate top job, i hear what you say about the turbo condition, main reason i brought it was it was cheap £25 and i like the idea of old school cars with old school mods, and as I'm building mine in a sorta south london style its gonna be a bit different from all the usual fords built in this style no doubt i will have some questions for u down the line

for £25 i would probably have bought it too,i got my kit (80% there) for £35. my conversion has been done on basic car ramps (14" from garage floor to chassis rails)so ive been very limited with working space and as a result it has been very long winded . also its been done mainly through the night on teh days when i don't have to get up for work afterwards. but its not what everyone else has so like you, i just had to have it. i read somewhere online that they sound incredible too so cant wait to hear it. any other pics of the kit?
