Yahoo linkOne owner, 8,500 on the clock, never hosed (in case it damaged the paint) and not turned a wheel since 1973. 428 Cobra Jet engine meshed to a 4-speed transmission, still maintains its original paint, tyres, belts, hoses, factory steering wheel cover and 1968-dated coded spark plug wires.

What a sad story. Sad for the owner and sad for the car! Yes, he preserved the car's value, but he died and had no family to leave it to! Now, what if he had driven that car for 40 years and really enjoyed it? Taken it to the drag strip in summer and maybe won a few street brackets. When the car was new, not much would have touched it on the strip! I'll leave a story that I prefer, about a man and his Volvo. 3 million miles and still looking good! autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/3-millionth-mile-irv-gordon-66-volvo-p1800-195116553.html
