Hello everyone, I have this w124 for the last 7 years, it's a great car, no problems in all this time. But it's now time to do some body work on it, I have a little rust proble, nothing serious. Here are some photo of my Merc. This is a photo from 2007 right after I got it. an a recent one from last autum

Yes, it has some great extras, like ASD, automatic air conditioning, airbag, electric windows. But if it had automatic transmision was perfect. This is the reason that my daily car is an Alfa Romeo 156 Selespeed.

Love the car, it was hiding some rot.
Not impressed with that welding though, nowhere near strong enough for suspension mounting. Do you use gas?

Hello, yes I am using Co2+Argon gas, I will remake the welding tomorrow. As I sad I didn't use mig-mag before....soo I will practice first on other metal...

Try uphill welding to get more penetration.

I read some tips for welding...so the problem was that I worked outside and it was windy that day and probaly the wind blowed the gas away. I will try again when it will be nicer outside and after that I will move the car inside. Thanks for all the tips.
