I suppose its reaspnable , anyone who is going to buy one of those is going to want it in A1 condition , so it basicaslly going to need completely stripping and restoring properley witha very good paintjob etc . Plus there are plenty of original ones which have been cosseted . which will always be worth more than a restored item .
Also i suppose its only worth as much as anyone will pay for it - i mean who realistically is in the market for one ? Only serious collectors i imagine .

Its cheap because at that price I guarantee it either has issues or needs parts and with these everything is a nightmare to source parts wise ,so that alone will put most off

Its going to need genuine body parts for good fit so could be a curse word .Also at that age and that its obvioulsy not bben looked after , stuff like engine pipework , rubber bushes , even a exhaust , all going to be hard to find or cusom made .

I know the seller , he's a trader , he's probably bought it from a collection and looking to flip it quickly , he's usually fairly honest with his descriptions , he's got lots on his plate at the moment so likely wants a quick sale before the start of the season.

Yes thats what i thought from his other sales , makes sense really , quick turnaround , bit of profit and priced to sell quickly not for the highest price .

These do seem to have randomly dropped in price over the last year. You'd have thought they'd have gone up in value. I've seen very very good ones go for sub £15k recently, when a couple of years ago they'd be £20k plus.
No doubt this would be a good investment if someone buys it and mothballs it for a year or few.
