I am looking for a Free or extrememly cheap "longboard" surfboard. That someone is not using, or has no use for..... back of shed, or on woodpile etc. Board has to be intact, not necesarily surfable...... think 6inch nails and roofrack. To go with the theme developing in my head for the Audi. Please PM with details. It has to work with what I picked up at the bootfairs today, see below.

I haven't got one, but why not make one? it doesn't have to work in the water, and IIRC the old longboards were flat. bit of 3 ply, jigsaw the shape, sand and bevel the edges and wax it. an afternoons work. audi ring motif on it for extra irony. alternatively, would a pair of ski's be to ironic for you? I was going to fit some on my capri with a boot rack never mustered the balls to go and get a pair for a laugh tho.

NO, it has to be in the theme I have stared working on. I have already got the plan in my head to make one, and intersting , I was going to mak it Auto Union, the idea had already shaped, because I doubt there is going to be a board out there to be used as an ornament. Will keep you updated, Also need to find a roofrack of suitable vintage..... and no, I do not believe I will go the whole scene way.

don't do what I did and look on a surfing forum. I asked for one for the beach buggy. I explained it wasnt for surfing and I would pay for their old non useable boards. most of the responses were along the lines of "i hate posers. sod orf!" who says surfers are all friendly beach bums? ;D edit: if there ends up with 2 people with old surfboards, ill take the other one!

If anyone has a space to move this surfboard from Stockport near Manchester to either Oxford (or Witney) or even closer to South East London between J7 and J2 of the M25, or the Medway area, Please let me know, Alternately I will be going up over the May Bank Holiday weekend by car to pick it up from Steve if he is not jetting off to some exotic destinaton. Cheers, Rian.

Pfft, surfers are one of the cliqueyest bunches you're ever likely to meet. I'm friends with a few, but some can be pretty snobbish I don't know if I'd put a surfboard on my car if I couldn't surf (which I can't), but then again... I wear Vans / DC and can't skate... so I suppose there's not much difference really! ;D If you're gonna do it, put a proper longboard on there. Making one will look pap I reckon

This was my main sport as a student, spent up to 6 hours a day in or next to the sea. Never had a problem with surfers..... just when both of us would drop into the same wave..... but I did have the paddle to defend the wave..... ;D ;D ;D Waveski-ing

you have email rian. boards a bit of a mess but you can have it if you want. i don't think i'd like being strapped to one of those things. i've been hit a few times with my surf board all because i had a leash on.
