As per title I'm looking for a stainless system in good condition to fit my 1987 635csi. My standard exhaust is tired and cracked in places and I don't really fancy paying out the new prices as lovely as I'm sure a brand new system is. I just want a good used stainless system with a nice back box.

Thanks for the offer but I can have a custom system made brand new for around £500. I'm looking for a good used system for less money.

I think you'll struggle to be honest.
A full factory mild steel system new with everything ready to fit from the dealer is in the £1200 region. We just got £375 for a good used standard system. If you can get a good new stainless system custom made for £500, I don't think you are going to do much better.
In all the E24s we've dismantled, I've never had one with a stainless exhaust.
