Hi chaps, been a while may or may not have just bought a kei car, not quite sure why, i've always had a MASSIVE soft spot for them, with their quirky ITB'd 600cc engine, zebra pattern seats and odd diameter wheels, what's not to like? googling didn't really throw up much, although this is pretty impressive - so what can you tell me about these curious little things?

Googling can also provide pictures of evil efforts to squeeze B18 Vtec engines into them! Friend has one (660cc) & had quite a challenge trying to source a replacement ECU.

Hahaha excellent! Yeah insurance was £130. My current daily has 420hp so my power needs are satisfied. Want something that'll handle as good/better than my old mx5!

well this is the little chap i've bought - needs a new water pump and possibly a headgasket, but for the price i couldn't argue. ordered the parts direct from honda as mentioned ^^^ above. nice one. it's had a new roof and comes with a spare set of alloys. can't wait to get started with it

haha, starting to lose track of them! Golf is top priority at the minute, got a seat and harnesses ready to go in it but aside from that it joins the back of the queue some pics - next to a "small" alfa - and this is excellent

wowsers, that looks intense, any more info? Well now you're asking! i found that pic on a Russian blog I follow and have Google image searched and done some digging, but can't find much else. The closest car I can find is this one
Which is the right colour and I'm pretty sure it's the same one, but it's not got the same exhaust Think it's a later incarnation? The rear bumper looks the same and the tyres look like the same ones only after a few dozen laps! However I have also found this car here
Which may also inspire? So... About that build thread... EDIT: MOAR!

EXCELLENT. top work. did see a couple of stickers on the car related to that site but didn't think to check haha. in process of swapping the stem seals, head gasket, water pump and cambelt so hopefully that should stop the smoking issue. bought some new plates as the ones on it look a state. Will start a build thread once stuff starts getting interesting
