Just fitted a headlights on warning buzzer and is good  got another one here which I want to fit to my fuel pump switch (PO fitted a hidden switch to run the pump, constant live feed). Am I good to just fit the buzzer live feed to the pump switch live and use the same ignition feed I've used for the headlight buzzer? Sure I am but just need reassurance ta  |

Okay, just wired it up and the buzzer is constantly sounding. Any ideas? Wired up to live on the pump switch (red wire on buzzer) and to ignition feed (same as headlight buzzer, black wire) ?

Hi, if the buzzer is working all the time then it is getting power and earth. What car is this? You say the pump switch has 'constant live feed' so is that battery power? You say you connected to the headlight black wire? That is usually earth. Or do you mean the pump is connected to 'constant live feed' and it is a switched earth?

I have no idea what you have actually done wiring-wise but normally a lights on warning sounder is fitted between the sidelight circuit and the door pin switch so if the door is opened with the lights on it sounds..

Okay for the lights....wire to dash bulbs and wire to ignition live feed....ignition on and lights on=no buzzer, lights on and no ignition=buzzer (simple). Another buzzer, one wire to fuel pump switch and one wire to ignition live feed. Fuel pump on and ignition off=buzzer, fuel pump on and ignition on=no buzzer. Simple |

So you can't sit in the car with the lights on and the ignition off as you'll have to listen to the buzzer constantly buzzing?
