That's coming together nicely. As always the devil's in the detail, the car was tidy to begin with, but in the last pics looks like the paint and the faded bumpers have seen some TLC and looking far better for it.
But, best of all, love that you're using period audio gear, absolutely loving those Goodmans speakers! All the best cars have tape decks.

Hi guys! I haven't really been doing much with the golf as I'm still waiting on parts and I've been sorting the polo's little niggles. So, whilst the weather was alright, me and my dad rolled the golf out and stretch it's legs a bit, here are the pics that I took... As you can see, it's pretty low... In fact, it lays frame quite a bit... I'll obviously adjust the suspension to allow for some ground clearance! I thought I'd do a quick video of the golf going back in to the garage, which can be seen here... which did result in this being left behind... nowt major! Anyway, thanks for looking! As always, all comments are welcome!

My new one's low like that, though I'll be raising it because I drive country roads too often to be smashing my subframe at 60mph. Looks good though.

We all say that mate....
Actually 18Ts seems to be the favoured transplant for MK2s, full Mk4 donor cares are kicking around for a just a couple of hundred so a cheap conversion for the DIY`er. Easier power and better handling but you just don`t get the noise!

Hi again guys! Right, seeing as I didn't wanna spend valentines day being reminded how single and alone I am, I decided to take my mum on a little trip to Leicester to pick up some car parts. Was a very nice, almost uneventful drive, the only problem was a blown headlight bulb which is no biggie! Got to Leicester, had a lovely chat with an awesome guy called Arron, who had an awesome mk2 golf 20vt daily, a split screen camper and a mint mk1 golf! After drooling over his cars, I went and picked up some nice parts for the golf! (Pics of which will be added when I pop in to the garage later today. I got the following bits and bobs... ported and polished cylinder head with cam... Rocker cover... stage one clutch... lighted and balanced flywheel... fuel injection system.... Next month I should be getting A remapped ecu and the wiring for it, rear upper and lower strut braces and a bigger brake servo and master cylinder. but that's for another post... ANYWAY,woke up on the Sunday, opened up the garage and me and my awesome dad (don't tell him I said he was awesome!) Decided to spend the day playing around with front and rear camber! We decided to only add minimum camber, as I'm not overly keen on big camber and I also wanna add GTI arches and that should help eliminate the need for big angles! It was a day full of trial and error, as well as a huge amount of time reading the instructions over and over, so we could gain an insight into what the hell we was doing! Haha. We got there in the end and here's the results! The rear DOES match up, however, I live on a road thats is a cycling hot spot, so I couldn't reeeaally get a decent shot as people were coming and going up and down the road and I don't have a good enough camera to take a decent shot whilst it's in the garage... As I said, nothing drastic, but I'm well happy with the results! As always, all comments are welcome!

Hi guys! Just a bit of an update for you! After going around the golf, doing a complete inspection, me and my dad were happy enough for the golf to go for it's first MOT since November 2013, and with great delight, SHE PASSED! Only advisory was one slightly worn brake line on the offside rear. I then proceeded to tax the old girl and went to Brentacre for all my insurance needs and with all mods declared (including those yet to be fitted...) I got insured for just over all grand! Which in my opinion, is quite good with all claim, and 2 years NCB! So needless to say, I was/still am, as happy as a sand-boy! Right, back in late Jan/early Feb time, I got in to the Show and Shine at the FastShow at Santa Pod on Sunday 22nd of March, so with that fast approaching, I finished work at 8pm on the Saturday night and with an endless amount of help from my awesome dad, (don't tell him I said that!) we soon set to work fitting the new brake line and giving the golf a good ol' clean! We then took it for a quick midnight spin and all seemed well! We were very chuffed! I was up not so bright but definitely early on the Sunday, going around the golf checking and cleaning it, my dad decided he would drive it up to the show just because he did most of the mechanic work and if there were any issues, he'd soon be able to remedy them with his vast knowledge of odd noises and such! I'm happy to report, it all went without a hitch! I unfortunately didn't get ANY pics whatsoever on the day due to excitement and nerves as I've never ever been part of a show before... It didn't get any attention at all, which is was a shame but, hay-ho! I love my golf and that's all that matters to me! Then the next day, I returned my mates satnav and had to pick up some paperwork for work, so naturally, I took the golf for a blast! (any excuse!) I loved it! She's pretty nippy and sounds thunderous with that stainless back box and centre box delete! She's now tucked away in the garage until the sun next makes an appearance, or when I go on a club stand at mod nats! Thanks for reading guys! I look forward to your comments!

Looks absolutely awesome mate and I love those parcel speakers What show did you take it to? I took it to the fast show at santa pod, wasn't a very good idea rally, as there were a number of modern cars and my little mk2 didn't get a single pic taken of her but oh well! I still enjoyed it!
