Dirt sympathetic interior options?

Having had stripped out cars before, the biggest downside is that once you've climbed in them a few times with muddy feet they look tatty,

basically aside from painting my interior the same shade of brown as the dirt in my yard, what are the options? thinking maybe a partially carpetted interior in the spots where the dirt sits, or something else that's magical and doesn't require much maintanence

i'm welding in a cage, seat bars and the such so keeping the carpet doesn't really seem an option, but i'm open to suggestions!

My late father-in-law was a sportsground contractor so his car floor always had mats of various types. At one time offcuts of Astroturf were used and were great at collecting dirt that could then simply be shook outside.
The thick rubber sheeting made from recycled shredder tyres used for under swings, slides etc in children's playgrounds (and I also think for horse boxes and stable) is a tough floor covering that also damps noise and can easily taken out to be hosed down.
In Land Rovers one of the OE options was the linked rubber mats that are used for outside doors -

What about lining the whole of the footwell with parcel tape then adding a couple layers of fibreglass ? The parcel tape will stop the fibreglass sticking to the floor so you will have a perfect tray that fits the footwell and again easily removed for cleaning

In my defender I've got black rubber chequerplate matting which just gets taken out and jet washed when I wash the car.
