I am looking for a bit of info about the vct used on the 1700 puma engine. What i would like to know more about is how it works, am i right in thinking that the exhaust cam advances and retards its self using some sort of valve in the rocker cover?
From what i can see one of the cam sprockets is thicker than the other and i was wondering if i could just use a standard sprocket and blank off the hole in the rocker for the valve and effectivly do away with the vct and use megajolt and carbs instead of the standard ecu and injection?
What are you guys thoughts on this?
