Yeah it did look a bit evil at fueled. Anyway much has happened since the Gathering. The car has got a massive appetite for alternators for no discernable reason. Currently driving round with a spare charged battery and a charger, good thing about clunky old diesels if once they're started they keep running. Anyway not long after the gathering I was doing *ahem* license losing speeds and the bonnet catch broke and stoved the windscreen and roof in. Along with the alternator being broken again (a brand new one this time) and the sump being broken again I took it off the road for some TLC. After a few weeks of procrastination due to been recently single I got my in gear and fixed it. A windscreen was sourced for £100 fitted brand new, which I think is a bargain. I then strengtened the front crossmember I added to fit the Prelude radiator, welded some mounts in and made a gigantic sump guard out of 6mm steel plate. Looks mental, makes a noise like a gunfight in a earthquake and smashes the road to pieces. Excellent. I also did a fair bit of de-bodgery from where i'd rushed to sort fixes, meaning i've now got the luxury of sidelights, main and high beam headlights. Still not found a bonnet, and it won't fit over the engine anyway without a big scoop/hole so i'm currently rocking round like this. That's about where we're upto. Hopefully gonna get time to drop the front for a show on Saturday.

Should've said, it was an electrical fire not vandalism. Not sure why but some time between 10am and 11am something shorted and set the glove box area on fire, setting the passenger airbag off and then burning most of the front half of the interior.

Surely that just adds to the effect? Is it actually dead? Could always put the engine in an older mk3 Granada, I know of a nice gold/brown one for sale cheap that nobody wants because as a 2.9 auto it does 14mpg...

Engine got fragged along with most of the rest earlier today, nobody showed any interest in it and it was left at the side of the road outside my mums and neighbours were complaining. qwerty I saved the coilovers, should fit a Sierra.

It's a high miler as well, 189k last time I saw it but you wouldn't know, it's just so horrific on juice, even for a 2.9. I borrowed it to go to Cornwall and back when my Golf thoughtfully shat it's gearbox the day before I went on holiday, best I managed was 26mpg cruising at 60 which is the same my mate gets from a 5 litre 3rd gen Camaro

I'll keep you updated bud. He wants £400 just now which it's well worth but he'll keep dropping if no one wants it
