So we're partnering up with En Tente Cordiale to host a social Gathering en Francais around the time of Classic Le Man, so come and join us at the Châteaux on Friday 4th July for some cool cars, nice scenery and good food We hope for this to become an annual thing, for years that the Classic isn't on we'll have a big old Retro Rides social in France! So this year we're checking out the venue and trying out this social event. Come join us, its free and everything.

I rather like the look of that! I would probably fly over for the day (and park my rental car well out of sight)!

This being the first time for us trying the venue I'll be happy if we can get 10-15 RR people there this year, just to canvas opinion... then we'll aim for something more for next year. Just a good excuse to hang out and chin wag with some like minded folk, eat some good food and enjoy a great venue

I'd love to come, but a) I've only got a 2014 VW Caddy that works and b) I'm working in Colorado that week... Maybe next year in the Bluebird ;-)
Looking forward to pictures!

I rather like the look of that! I would probably fly over for the day, buy a classic, and drive back Fixed that for you I wish! A Renault 8, Alpine A110 and Citroen DS would do me nicely. Are they €1.76 in France? That's my budget I think this looks like a great event. I don't have the time to drive down there but will aim to fly in on the Thursday night and back late on Friday from Tours. I'll mention this in MotorPunk when I get a minute as I'm sure it would appeal to our readers too.

Great stuff! Doubt I'll make it this year as I won't have but I've always wanted to go to Classic Le Mans, so perhaps next year I'll have the time and something suitable to go in...

I'm going to the regular Le Mans this year for the first time but not the Classic. Hope it's a roaring success though!

Oooh. I shall aim to be there, probably in a not particularly retro or show-worthy Clio, but it's always nice to have a look and a chinwag and see some more countryside. tdk, Tours is pretty much in between here and there for me...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

How many cars have signed up for this? I'm hoping to attend but can't justify the flights if there's not much to see. Any idea of numbers?

The Giulia isn't looking too clever at the moment, will see if I manage to get it running properly this week-end. If I do come I may not arrive very early on Friday since Le Mans is quite a few hours away from Dijon.

I'm in Beauvais with work at the moment and driving back to blighty tomorrow. The Aston, Jag, cobra, lotus, Bristol, etc conveys I drove with coming down this morning were something to behold. Saw a stupendous amount of very cool cars. Highlights worth a mention were a mental Jowett and a white allegro that turned even more heads and an S-Type R towing an e type. Gutted I won't be able to make it but it's in the diary for next year already. Have a good one everyone, I know you will
