Oh, thats probably the least wanted engine, though not the slowest by a fair bit, it lacks the urge expected of the fuel consumption.
However I bet if it was a v6 or a td, it would be up for a lot more

Don't buy it in Spain, the process of buying the car is expensive and time consuming. Plus maintenance of used cars in a poverty stricken country leaves little to the imagination from what I've seen here.
Go for the diesel if you find a good one available. Also check over the suspension very well!
Edit: Just realised you live in Spain too.

I had a series 1.5 SEi Turbo for a couple of years about fifteen years ago. It had 150k on it, it had been well maintained. I did 25k with no real issues.
Early series 1's can have earthing problems, fixed on the S1.5 and S2. The drivetrain is reasonably robust, helpful to change the auto gearbox oil and keep the filters clean - exhaust manifolds can crack on the petrol turbo - watch the strut tops on all of them, they can rot through. Body shells are generally sound - galvanised. Assuming the sphere's are not done in, the ride is very good.
There are still a few good low mileage one owner cars that slip out onto the market as owners expire/give up driving.
I reckon a late 3.0 would be a cracking car to tuck away.
