Wow, that makes my engine bay look positively cluttered.

If it's cleanliness you seek...head for www.cleaned.beNot an engine bay pic, but I'm loving this Passat: ..and this really neat Corva: It would be wrong to allow those 'dub boys to take all the engine bay smoothage credit though...step forward the legendary Brothers of Beardmore:

Fine work, dude. I was considering doing the same on my Benz, how long d'you reckon it took? Was it a complete headache or not too bad?

I defo like the look, it's harder to achieve when you are running fuel injection though because of all the wires and extra pipes. My mate is doing a Mk1 Astra at the moment and I am hoping he's going to go down this route.

It took a fair while but probably seemed longer as it was a fill in job in between other jobs. It wasn't too bad to be fair, it's more a case of skimming, rubbing, skimming again etc rather than trying to get the overall shape in one go. Time consuming but worth it in the end

You made a bloody good job of that.
The thought of ripping that sodding V8 out is the only thing stopping me...

Cheers dude, but I only had a very, very small part in that car, mainly getting the engine bay and inside the hatch area into primer ready for topcoat. I really wish I'd stayed at that place now as it would have been me applying the finishing coats, which would have been nice. It's been a while since I sprayed any modded Golfs Turned out nice in the end though didn't it? And on air as well. ;D

I do like the look, but it must be a complete nightmare to do (especaly if the car is EFI; Wires anyone?)
Would not do it myself but I really like it.

thought this was gonna be about those stupid engine bay covers that hotrodders put on cars, foose did one on a chevvy roadster for that comedian fella, pointless thing if u ask me.
i really like this smoothed stuff tho, wonder if it'd work on a mini but theres not much to smooth really. id like to use that idea on an e30 think that would be uber cool
