Could anyone who owns a 924 n/a take a picture of there distributor with the cap off and rota arm removed ,so i can se how the rota arm lines up with the 4 star point thingys? Mine has moved i think and need to confirm the correct alignment. Many thanks Chris

It shouldn't be possible for them to move in relation to each other. The ROTOR arm aligns on the shaft and the 'chopper' for the hall sensor (for want of a better word) is also fixed to the shaft. Assuming that the 924 has hall ignition. If anything the lug has broken off of your rotor arm allowing it to turn on the shaft. If this is the case you need a new rotor arm. You may as well use this as an opportunity to give the car an ignition service and replace the cap too.
