I have a xr2i on 24.000 miles it's had loads of work done as it stood for years brake rebuild engine valve stems lifters etc all done new rad and pipes.
Up until recently it ran really well apart from over fueling a little lately with the 26 degree temperatures we've had she gets really temperamental in traffic. She doesn't overheat and I generally turn on the heater blower to cool her down before the fan cuts in.
If she gets past halfway up the gauge she starts idling rough as if there's no fuel getting to her and she bogs down especially in 2nd and reversing is impossible till she cools down. She isn't boiling over or really getting that hot but she stutters and this is accompanied by a weird ticking noise from behind the dash. Any ideas ?
