Guys, I need help and it comes in 2 parts! Firstly while looking in the scrappy today I found this .... I liked it and it came at a price that I liked even more. All I know is I took it out of a pile of rust (you might recognise it as an mgb) but what is it? I googled mgb steering wheel but it's not showing what it is. Secondly, I'm going to be stupidly optimistic here, as mg is British leyland and my series 3 xj6 is also British leyland is it going to fit? If it doesn't it's going on the wall!!

Hi, the Jag XJ6 column splines are 3/4" 48 splines, MGBs have 4 different columns sizes one of which is 3/4" 48 splines fitted to 62-69 later sizes are 5/8" and 11/16".

So there is a very slim chance?! I better start counting the splines!!
I didn't think of looking for the year, my buddy spotted the wheel and I didn't really look at the car. Pretty sure it didn't have any plates on it and to be honest not much left where plates would mount to!!!

Thats exactly the same as the stock wheel that came out of my 1973 MGBGT there seemed to be some versions that had the indented bits milled out, and others had a line of circular holes on the spokes. Someone has painted it black however as they are silver as standard Edit: Found a couple pics from when I swapped it for a Mountney wheel
