Stupid question time, anyone know the best way of sending a car door and a wing? They need collecting from Kent and taking to Stoke-on-Trent.
Ive been on the parel2go website and it says the maximum size of a parcel is 120cm long and no greater than 5sq ft. The door is 44 inches X 44inchesX 8inches deep. and the wing is about 22 inches x 44inches x 8 inches deep. I'm being a bit thick, I cant work out what it is in sq ft! I'm pretty sure its too big. Next service up from the £8.49 parcel is a pallet, which is £75 quid odd.
Any ideas/advice/abuse?
Please don't laugh at my ineptitude.

whenever we get big bits in at work its invariably tnt. wrap it well however, the drivers seem to be animals ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) sending from work we use amtrak, cost about £30 to send a bonnet and mirrors for a corrado to the highlands. or it would have done if the bloke had brought them.....

I sometimes send exhibition stuff overseas. My warehouse bods make up ply boxes to put stuff in on pallets. That way nothing gets stuffed.
Lankytim, I've a mate who regularly goes north from Hawkhurst doing drops. I'll get a price from him for you.

Thanks for all the words of wisdom and kind offers of help. Ive got the situation under control now.
Ive blagged transport for free though work. In a rare display of human compassion my gaffer says hel sort it out for me. The parts have still actually got to arrive though, and be intact. If they don't arrive, or are very very flat its tough bananas!
