Well the Imp National has been and gone,over the past few years the club has been using rugby clubs or Horse Race courses,this year it was Huntingdon race course near Cambridge,it took us 6 hours to get there because of the M6 closure due to an accident,after suffering torrential rain near enough all journey we arrived at the racecourse and duly booked into a Holiday inn for the Night,there was NO WAY I WAS SETTING UP CAMP IN THE RAIN!! A good weekend with loads of Imps on site....... Gurns camp  Adams custom Bike  some of the Imps on site  Imp vert....  motorbike engined imp  we went out on a scenic run on the friday and I had a clutch problem traced to slave cylinder,a quick rebuild and all was well untill the flexy hose to the slave failed! changed it for a braided hose and all was well....    a few more imps....       Sunday is the judging day and handing out trophies etc but I had heard that the NSRA had a show at Shuttleworth which was just down the A1 so we decided to go and have a look,WOW!!!!!! Probably the best car show we have EVER been too,I will let the pics tell the story.....be warned there are quite a few! This was in the HUGE car park on the way in.....  there were loads of stands selling all sorts of stuff,kids bungi rides,dodgems,wall of death,live music etc etc....it blew us away,the wife had a system overload and had to sit down for 5 minutes....             we guessed that was the owners son climbing all over the above rod!  I loved this camper with the yellow windows.         this was just leaving as we arrived,would have come over and said Hi if it was parked up                  [URL=http://s241.photobucket.com/user/gurnsimps/media/187.jpg.html          Anyone know what this is below?     v8 mini I believe.... Super pics.
We were down at the SuperNats in Morrisoxides Mercury (I've got some pics to rattle up at some point) and we saw loads of BL gear on the A1.
The 'what is this' pic, its a Citroen BX with an awesome bodykit, the jacked up Mini is has a Ford V4 in it and has epic paint.

The 'what is this' pic, its a Citroen BX with an awesome bodykit, the jacked up Mini is has a Ford V4 in it and has epic paint. I would have come and said Hi had I known,long way from home for you bud,by bl's on the A1 do you mean Imps? Rootes /Hillman not bl,no offense to bl meant  |

yeah, it was a long way, but we travelled in style  We saw an Imp, but it was mostly BL stuff so I assume there was something for the BL fancier going off aswell. I was down that way on Friday too though and saw LOADS of Imps and imps derivatives. |

Cheers bud,the pics are small because I set my photobucket to that size because the imp club won't accept bigger pics and its a pain to resize them all,or is there a quick way do you know? Sorry mate only the one pic of the capri. |

Not wanting to pick holes but that's not a "body kit" (which kind of suggests a manufactured bolt on set of parts in my book) it's a full scratch built body, built by the same talented chap who made the amazing purple BMW based bubble-top showcar. |

Yeah, my choice or words was abit lax, it's far from 'just a bodykit', like you say its full custom coachwork. Amazing thing it is too. A photographer friend of mine did a photoshoot with it a month or so ago and the shots came out awesome. |

Mk2 Ford Zephyr / Zodiac - every time I see another pic of this car I spot something else he has changed. It is certainly not standard! I love it It's a Leeds cruise regular, I've got a fair few pics of it over the years. And you're right, there is very little that is standard about it. |

Nice to see a few Imp again,It's been a while since I had an Imp, I helped organise the Imp40 at the rugby club on the Wirral a few years back.
My old Imp is now living in Blackpool and is now sporting a big arch body kit I believe although I've not seen it for a few years.
