Got to admit, I was nipping slightly at the thought of no-one turning up tonight - so was relieved when a good few people did! Nine cars, good crack, bottomless coffee (which is always a plus) and murmurs of 'we should do this again' which I'd certainly be up for. Was great to meet people I've talked to on here and FB, and hope it happens again some time...
Anyhoo, here's some pics and that...
Pete's V8 ragtop - love those wheels:
Alan's cleaner than clean early Fox notchback:
Jamie's 5.0 manual hatch:
Andrew's V6 hatch - hold on, that doesn't look like a V6?!? What it does look like is 600hp's worth of Chevrolet LS power. Looks of a stealth bomber, and 'hounds of hell unleashed' soundtrack from this one - love it! Props to him for driving 60 miles there and back to come tonight as well:
I know it's not a Mustang, but I love Gary's pro-street P100:
Could eat yer dinner off that engine:
Jim's mean SN95 - another 600hp motor that sounded boss burning up the A19 past the Diner:
Now this one....this one's special. Norman's Mach 1 is no show queen, but is a well looked-after survivor that he's owned for nearly as long as I've been alive (37 years!):
Can you say '429 Super Cobra Jet' kids?
I managed not to take pics of mine and Cookie's convertibles, but the other vee-hicles more than make up for that.
May give it another go next month if other Mustangers are up for it - stay tuned!
Anth.
