I'm fitting a 2.5" dia exhaust on my mk3 Cortina. It's currently running a pinto & 4 branch & when I have time a 2 litre Zetec on 4 branch. I don't want it to loud as I'm now middled aged & not boy racer. I want a nice throaty noise to it but no drone on the long runs. Can I loose the back box & just put a baffle pipe in before the tail pipe or am I better with the two boxes ?. It's awkward trying to make up a decent tail pipe because of the bends & limited space under the back of these things. Anyone had exhaust experience on Cortina's or the best diamter to use can help me out. Thanks
