Starting to get bored of the Mx5 because I've run out of affordable things to do to it, so I set about trying to swap it for something. Standard scan through fleabay came up with a nissan laurel c32. Lovely I thought, popped a bit on and waited. Ended up winning it for £700.01, but he said that I can keep the 1p to myself. I'll buy something nice with it. Anyway, here are the ad photos, when I get the car and start jappifiying it I will put up some more! Ah, the beige-ness. I've never owned a car this old. Its 28 with 61k miles and 2 previous owners. It will be cleanly and subtly modified like my MX5 is. Assuming it'll be a suitable daily-ish car!

That is lovely.
I really do rather like these boxy nissans so I look forward to seeing what you do.

That's really nice. Please don't do that shakotan thing to it! (Or whatever it's called!).

Lovely.. Looks like a mix of R30 and R31 Skylines. (R30's used the L24 engine, but the interior is more R31).
L24's are pretty strong. Just make sure the water pump belt is changed, and do your oils, and this thing shouldn't give much problems. We had an R30 we drove into the ground (before I became a mechanic), didn't get serviced, got absolutely thrashed (mountain runs and industrial estate drifting included) and still started up every morning. Thing that finally killed it was the water pump belt snapped and cooked the engine and we were too poor to fix.

Love these but every one I ever see is silly money because of JDM scene points.

I loves me a Laurel, always keeping an eye out for another, but they fetch good money these days. My last one was bought for £250 and needed nothing for an MOT. Some slotmags and spring choppage and it looked like this...

I'm thinking about doing that until I have the money for s13 bits.

Only a couple of coils all round. It's still wafted along just fine.
I sold it in 2010 and it disappeared off the face of the planet. The DVLA database says the MOT and tax expired at the end of when I had last put them on the car, its never been SORNed, just gone!

Cruising up and down the autobahns.

As long as it'll pass the mot in feb i'll be happy!
