I've one being built just now, yes, but as I've said in other threads, you're not really going to get a decent E28 for £1000 with much of an MoT. It'd be nearer £2000 by the time it's finished.

It'll be the car BMW should have built - the E28 525i - not the boat anchor M30 version BMW built, but the M20 b25 and manual box out off the later E34 that was bring broken here earlier this week. Under 100000 miles and sweet.

Tidy bodywork, basically ready to be built to your spec.

But for a daily retro, the E30 touring wins hands down.

Ill be brutally honest its not me. a) touring and b) two litre.

I had an E36 touring and although a solid car it was flat as a fart.

I wouldnt mind a PM when you get the E28 built.. I may be able to source some pretty rare E28 parts too (off an Alpina B8) - basically front spoiler, rear bootlid, steering wheel and seats, all mint. Ive had my eye on them for years but forgot about them until now. Might be able to come to some kind of deal, but itll take a while.

Not likely to be built for a while anyway. Our own stuff can only get a look in when there's nothing needing done for customers!

I'd happily build the E30 touring into a 325i for you. It's but a day's work. It was only built as a 320 because:-

The engine was lying here;
We knew it ran well;
The likelihood was (is) that my son will be running it.

Always interested in rare E28 bits.

Depends on your mileage but I'd look for a diesel E36 touring.
