I've been getting fed up with the painty flaky rocker cover. I have 2, one in a box and one in the car. I found someone with a blasting cabinet. I bribed him. Then And after some paint... Hopefully it won't flake off. I guess I should tidy the engine bay. Sent from my hayfever has started already using proboards

I do like this. Colour is spot on and gives it real presence.

It is a pretty good colour, sadly it's lost so much pigment and so unevenly it's pretty bad. Eventually it'll get paint and probably back to its original Carnelian red since its a car of moderate importance and much history. On the subject of colour changes, this car has had much customisation. I'm gradually putting it back to nearer standard so today..... A few bits of interior have been recoloured black so I'm swapping in grey bits. sadly these have both been drilled for car phones but I have to make do. Then these arrived. And I got distracted Sent from my floor using proboards

Today, I corrected the front ride height issue. Trial fitted some silly wheels. .. I now have my thoughtful thinking head on. Sent from my brain using proboards

Since it's summer, I have tested the upper weather deflector shield system. Glad to report it still tilts and slides. It really is a nice place to be. More silly wheels.. That's it for now. Sent from I've fixed my toilet using proboards

Well. My good friend Marcus (MrMouseBladder) kindly dragged this to The Gathering, it behaved perfectly too, which is nice. Then it rained. A lot. Sent from my flat using proboards

Forget the silly wheels. Those you had fitted for the gathering look... Looks just right.

Today involved an unexpected MOT due to a customer no-show. Failure due to some small rust holes. 2 are easy as peasy but there is one that may require servo out, inlet off and fuel pipes really off. Not looking forward to it and it's Beaulieu anything you want for an MG or a Morris Minor but nothing for old Vauxhalls or Opels jumble weekend so my welding time is limited.
Ho hum.

Shame about the rust, but it's a nice car anyway. Was nice meeting you at RRG, and the white car just looks stunning!

Thanks Having just had a poke around this it's going to need the rear suspension crossmember dropping to sort the back end out, exhaust off first, offside front wing off, steering box out, engine out and drivers footwell stripped. Big job, too much for me at the moment so into the storage hedge it will go. I fear what I will find behind the front wing and I guess I should look at the other side too. This will all lead to many repairs and I daresay a respray too. It'll need a drivers door or some type of repair and the boot lid isn't amazing. Sent from ho hum using proboards

Sad news. I'm sure you can rebuild it given a bit of time! Just don't leave it in the storage hedge too long!

Well, after a year in the storage hedge, I think I've found the reason it won't idle properly. No nearer welding it up though.

GOOD NEWS! ! ! ! !
I have extracted this from the storage hedge in anticipation of some Goodwood related tomfoolery.
Since the road going white GSE seems to have been kidnapped, I thought I ought to mobilise something else.
Charged battery, added some fuel and it started right up.
Found an engine idle ecu that wasn't full of water and that bits fixed. ABS tested, needs a bit of welding still and a headlight.
Then it's just a respray and the associated bodywork, a set of wheels and tyres, cleaning, servicing, road testing, tax, MOT, insurance, suspension, hifi and probably a degree of "misc."
