Currently have a issue with my xr2i. The rear brake load leveler was leaking and a replacement is hard to come by so my mechanic removed it and rerouted the pipes directly to the brakes. The reasoning was :
A) the abs had been disconnected years ago.
B) and he has lost the attaching bolts for the load leveler.
This however resulted in the back end locking up
He married up a mk4 fiesta cylinder with the modulators on it but he says it's a pain job to reroute the brake pipes.
I am currently playing with the idea of installing a bias valve but was wondering what the pros and cons are.
Secondly does the non abs xr2i master cylinder come with the modulators in place to keep it looking standard. My knowledge is limited and it's driving me round the bend. So my plea is to you more knowledgable what can I do !!
