Has anyone here wedged a Rover V8 in a cortina? I have a 71 Taunus TC, which has Cortina chassis and suspension.
I was thinking 5 speed Rover manual box and Vovlo rear diff with modified prop shaft. It looks like I may have found a dead cheap Range Rover 4.6 HSE which would donate the engine, and other bits. Not sure whether to keep the EFI or run carbs. It may get a little squirt of gas later.
I need info on ease of swap, engine mounts, radiator, or if it is even worth the hassle. I'd like to stay away from SBC or Windsors, as they seem to come with american V8 price tags.
Any info anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
