Hi,
I have a 1.6 engine from a mx5 in my spitfire running mega squirt. It used to run OK. I have changed to a turbo from supercharger. loaded the base map and the car was running on what sounds like 3 cylinders yesterday before dropping dead.
Now it refuses to start and I get several bangs from the exhaust when cranking. The HT leads are on correctly in the correct order. It was air / fuel and a nice fat blue spark but not stating anymore. The plugs are wet with fuel.
Fuel regulator is connected to the manifold vac line OK.
It used to work ok.
Had same issue month ago. I changed sparks for my Corsa and it would be better. Could I have duff plugs? I am running NGK V Power Spark Plug (BKR7E-11) which are meant for turbo mx5... > www.mx5parts.co.uk/sparkplug-bkr7e-mk1225-p-236.html also recommend by mx5nutz forum.
Any advice welcome > Maybe matches are needed?
Cheers
Martin
