Excuse horrible lighting, but I tried the rack and deflectors on Not really liking the rack on this one.. Car in general will look about 500 times better if/when I get the back lowered Also bought mats to keep the almost-new carpet nice, and took the wheel and boss from the other 5. Nice improvement over the standard spec wheel

Loving the steering wheel, seems to work nicely with the red piping in the car. Looks like a nice cabin to be in.

So with a bit of witchcraft I got the back down 'temporarily' and will hopefully have it done properly next week. Too dark outside for photos right now so I'll get some tomorrow, but it looks good!

I'm guessing bags of sand haha.
Tell me more about the clio. Are you gonna start another project thread for it.

Well, here it is now with the back dropped a bit. When it's done properly it will definitely go lower, not only so that it matches the front but also just because it can easily go lower than this. Definitely thinking of using the facelift rear bumper from my old 5 because I prefer the look of it, and also because it would match the front bumper. (pre-facelift front and rear bumpers have less of a lip, the later ones have more of it and less ground clearance and just generally look better) Still not sure on the roof rack either. It looks a bit too cumbersome for a (this) 5 but there's a fair bit that could be hacked off to make it cleaner. Not sure on the exhaust either but that doesn't bother me really. In general everything on it is working really well, I can't describe how much better it runs than the old one, it's such a nice change.

Close enough haha, the boot has my £7 toolbox in it filled with all the junk I could find. Wish there was actually a good trick I used to get it low for now but that's sadly it. Clio is all good, just pulled out of storage after two years in hibernation. It's a Williams 2 and original all over, only upgrade really is the new tyres. Could start a thread but there's actually not too much to say about it.. yet Any updates on your 5? And you should get a thread up on your 306, liking the look of that..

You could also drive around with your handbrake partially on. Also those steels look lovely, mine are all rusty so i brushed them green. I blasted one of them but its still left a rusty rash on it.

I'll pass on the handbrake idea haha, but yeah the steels are nice and tidy. I'm really debating on removing the side trim like I did on the old one, especially since it's starting to peel itself off.
I'm in no way against the idea of keeping the originality, but it wasn't very original when I got it which is leaving me on the fence as to whether I should take 'em off or not

Quick update, I dropped it off with Beanie Sport today in the hope of getting the curse word torsion bar out that's been so awkward for the past few weeks. Every trick has been tried but none of them have worked, so before butchering my other 5 for it's axle I thought I'd give this a go. Will be lowered to match the front if all goes to plan, they say they should have it done tomorrow which is quite promising..

Sounds good mate. Would be interesting how they do it.
Maybe pushing the bar through from the other side.
