i expected to have to carry out some welding when i collected the car but much to my delight i couldn't believe how solid it is on the floorpan. it had two small patchs in the past and thats it!
ive been using it as a dialy doing 45 miles a day to work and never had a issue
since i have owned the vehicle i have:
carried out headgasket with proper copper one not these silly fabric ones
pink long life antifreeze
full exhaust system
left hand top and bottom ball joints
left hand cv joint
two front tyres
rear handbrake shoes and wheel cylinders
hydrolastic drain and refill
NOS right hand rear hydrolastic unit
new rear bump stop rubbers with alloy spacers
later mini 12 inch wheels which i bored out to fit due to orginals imperial and harded to get tyres for
Accuspark electronic igniton/distrubuter
accuspark sports coil.
Ford silver calcium battry
right hand headlamp
i grease all grease points and adjust tappets every 3,500 miles and serivced her every 4,500
shes clocked 70,000 miles and starts every time without fail
the bad points are
tailgate has rust on bottom ( in pricture )
rust starting to come through both front doors at the bottom corner ( picture )
rust on right hand slam panel/ light housing
fuel gauge can drop fast when reaches quarter of a tank, but new sender with vehicle
i don't see how it wont past its next test wihtout a little mixture tweek as i richen it so its driveable due to ridiculous emission laws
i am selling due to space and after a van now and i feel it needs someone to store away as there climbing in value or nice easy little project
