oval exhaust tubing- uk supplier?

its seems to be everywhere in the states, but i cant find anyone stocking it here. i need the 3" equivilent stuff, 2-1/4" by 3 and a bit, to try to make a 3" system fit into a space where it wont....

Why not buy (3-1/2" ?) round and get somebody with a roller to flatten it into an oval. Most small engineering firms will have such rollers.

Not quite the answer to your question but watching one of those youtube videos where old Group B cars are rebuilt they would split the tube and inlet sheet in between the two halves.

If you know someone with a press brake they could flatten some tube in 3m lengths with flat upper and lower tools.

I know someone who rolls oval tube using profiled rollers, also the rollers need to be in-line, not like a normal 3-roller setup or you will end up with a curved section as well (you'll know this already)

squashing it or rolling it would require an internal former to roll it onto for it to work properly and look decent, especially in stainless as its so tough.

splitting it and welding it flat had occured, and probably wouldnt be too difficult, as i don't need to do loads.

poprodder, that would work if it was a size bigger. to get the same cross sectional area it seems need about 2-1/4"x 3-3/8"

probably easier to buy some 2" tubing and some 2" flat and combine the two, more ground clearance with that too.
