Vehicle - Land Rover series 3 88"
Year - 1984
Engine - 2286cc diesel
Transmission - 4 speed manual, no OD
MOT - April 2015 with no advisories
Mileage - 103k
Location - Chesterfield
Price - £3250 firm please.
A mildly off road prepped series 3 in remarkably great condition. Not your normal trashed off roader, this has hardly any battle scars, just a small ding on the O/S wing and a indentation on the petrol tank. Totally solid, no rust whatsoever. the chassis, outriggers, rear cross member and bulkhead are all solid as a rock.
It`s on parabolic springs, pro comp shocks, modular wheels and big tyres. It also has free wheeling hubs and a snorkel. A ready to go anywhere type of truck. It`s surprisingly not too much of a pig to drive! I was expecting it to be a whole lot worse to be honest with the big tyres etc. It starts first turn of the key, and drives exactly as it should. I`ve had the servo replaced, and will be replacing a couple of brake cylinders, but that`s all it has needed.
The interior is nice too, and carpeted throughout. This may not be to everyones taste, and if doing any serious off roading I would suggest changing it. However, for green laning and everyday use it`s nice. 4x4 works as it should with no issues.
Sorry for the short advert, but you get the idea. If anyone needs any other pictures, information or just fancies taking it for a run feel free to get in touch.
In the meantime, here are the pictures;
I could be persuaded to put it back to close to standard too if anyone would rather this. This would just be a case of putting standard wheels on and removing the light bar.
