alot of people are forgetting the ultimate early 90s wheel mod...that being tsw venoms the worst wheel in the history of man... poppy corol air fresheer.(I think that's what that were called).. Dodgy seat belt pads saying things like sports.or racing.. car rammed full of blokes with baseball caps and rather loud shell suits.. dave.and Brenda or the like.on the front window as a sun stripe.. As I was growing up reading the likes of max power.fast car..The flavour seemed to be huge body kits that didn't really fit properly..24 inch wheels.painted caliper and drums.lambo doors.colour coded everything.huge exhaust you could fit your foot in..huge sound system that rattled every panel..fake roll cage. Venoms were mid/late nineties. They're also awesome. *n

Stick on bullet holes I remember being about. However, if mid to late 80s there was always one of these to relieve the stress from those difficult road rage moments

Does anyone remember the turtle wax air freshener which was a cartoon turtle with wheels for feet and an exhaust or engine on the rear of his shell?

Have those wooden-bead seat covers been mentioned? Dunno how they were popular, i tried one and it was painful.. Their real purpose was to stop you getting a sweaty back in hot weather in a time when air con was the reserve of the well heeled. Nothing worse than doing 80mph with the windows right down than arriving at a meeting looking like you've stepped out of a sauna.

For ford's Ghia badge stuck on passenger side dash. Oakley sticker on rear screen. Headlight cover making them look round. Like this.... www.rsownersclub.com/rsocbb/showthread.php?t=100720&page=2Coloured ford badges to match the car colour. Centre console with the cassette tape storage (think they had 4 grey release buttons) I saw the odd mk3 escort with the rear spot light on o/s like the mk2's used to have..

I've got a red 3 door escort from 1985... just thinking what mods i could do to it or accessories i could find that were common from the time. Maybe if i took it to shows in the summer it would be fun to make it look like it came from that era at the moment i can only think of those little hand you used to see popping from under everyone boot lids in the early 90s... although cant find any on ebay. a car sticker from "Fat Willys Surf Shack"

The original Kiss FM stickers if you can still find them. Pull out stereo rather than face off ones. Alpine cassette deck with the six green buttons for the tuner stations can't remember the model.

I'd rather loose by a mile cause I built my own car than win by an inch because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let anyone else write the book.
