Stick on exhaust heat shield was the first thing to spring to mind. Pointless anodised tat is surely 90's too, door pins, valve caps, gear knob etc Cd in the front grille? Remember that from the late 90's and still have no idea what it was about.

I saw a fat willy sticker on a car a couple of weeks ago and wondered whether it was an 80s thing or just happened to be that we had one in the 80s because that's when we went to Paignton. its not an old sticker, fat willy is a chain of surf shacks, still open =)

Yeah don't worry I'm not going to spray it yellow. Florescent surely or tango orange? As before that looks an amazingly clean escort!

Cd in the front grille? Remember that from the late 90's and still have no idea what it was about. this used to make me laugh as people believed that the cd would confuse the beam of a radar speed gun, was mostly seen on escort rs turbos on the body of the cooling fan

Didn't you have to spray your number plates with deodorant or hair spray to make them invisible to speed cameras too?

Does anyone remember those 'rotating' air fresheners that stuck on the dashboard. It was a long tube, that was rotated around the end, and had three different inserts. I had one in my first Escort, and about 5 years after it still smelt. I can vividly remember the smell of that thing, would love to get another one!

alot of people are forgetting the ultimate early 90s wheel mod...that being tsw venoms the worst wheel in the history of man... poppy corol air fresheer.(I think that's what that were called).. Dodgy seat belt pads saying things like sports.or racing.. car rammed full of blokes with baseball caps and rather loud shell suits.. dave.and Brenda or the like.on the front window as a sun stripe..
As I was growing up reading the likes of max power.fast car..The flavour seemed to be huge body kits that didn't really fit properly..24 inch wheels.painted caliper and drums.lambo doors.colour coded everything.huge exhaust you could fit your foot in..huge sound system that rattled every panel..fake roll cage.
