After fitting a two gallon fuel cell in the back of my mk2 breadvan I hooked up the og wiring for the fuel gauge and its half a tank out,
i,e, When the tank is brimmed it only shows under half a tank on the gauge, anyone had any experience with this issue?
I'll get some pics up in a minute,

Didn't the aftermarket fuel sender come with instructions ? IMO you need to remove sender and adjust it so the gauge reads empty when float is at the bottom of the tank and full when at the top. To adjust you'd need to measure depth of the tank to determine the empty and full dimensions. With sender you then need to set float so it is at the same dimensions. That can mean bending arm or moving float up or down the arm. Not rocket science - just common sense. Google universal fuel sender instructions for guides. Here's one to start with - www.vdo-gauges.com/media/instructions/0%20515%20010%20169%20--%20Fuel%20Level%20Sender.pdf

Cheers Compo the tank and sender came together second hand so just dropped it in,
Seems thats all the original owner did too just drop it in the tank,
The arm was far to short so lengthened it with a coat hanger and the sender itself needed dropping down a good inch,
Gauge now reads full when full and empty when empty so all is good!!
Thanks again man.......

Coat hangers are an underused part of a toolkit Great for emergency hanging of broken exhaust clamps.
