Hi everyone I have a mk4 escort and all the indicators on the passenger side have stopped working!! Even the little green arrow on the dash!! I've replaced the stalk and still no luck..... There's power to the stalk... I'm on the verge of calling an auto electrician but thought is pick everyone's brains first lol
Cheers Danny

If the other side is ok, then chances are the flasher unit is ok, if you've changed the stalk then the next thing is probably earths at the lamps, try it at night to see if they are on dimly and also other lights on dimly as the earth might be being shared.
I'd try a temporary earth to each light and see if it works, you could also probe with a multi-meter.
What happens when you put the hazards on?

I too would rule out a dim lamp/ bad earth type problem before you go much further. The connectors at the rear lamp cluster would be my start point. They're pretty weak on fords of this era and prone to problems in my experience. Are the seals on the lamp perished allowing damp to get inside the unit? Have you tried getting someone to press the brake pedal whilst you check the lights? Also try the hazards at the same time. Usually if the connector is suspect you'll see the brakes flickering with the indicators and all sorts of wierd stuff. Ford used to sell the connectors separately. I bet someone on eBay does them. A temporary bodge would be to use small spade terminals. Good luck.
