Had this for a few years and having bought a pickup for my now daily it is time to sell it on. Hoping you guys could help me out to as much it would be worth ?
1989 VW MK2 GOLF 1.3
Used to have this car as my daily driver and it never let me down once. I bought a new daily driver and unfortunately it became parked up and unused so have decided to sell it to get some space back. I would occasionally run up the engine but unfortuneately recently it will not run too well at idle can only imagine the carb needs cleaning out. The engine has a Weber carb fitted as the previous pierburg had begun to struggle to start on cold days (old carb will come with the sale of the car). The car has done a genuine nearly 87 000 miles and had a new clutch fitted about 20,000 miles ago. I carried out a full service on the car last year changing the plugs, leads, rotor arm, distributor cap, filters and oil. The exhaust is also blowing slightly however two years ago the car had a new front exhaust pipe and I had just replaced both exhaust back box's before I stopped using the car. Also fitted is a tow bar fitted last year which I have only used once to pull a small trailer. The car is lowered on JOM adjustable height coilovers and has very rare Ronal Kleeblatt alloys fitted with good tread on the tyres. (Still have the 4 original steels and original suspension which will be supplied with the car.) With a little tlc the car could be back on the road in no time (the car is currently sorned and no MOT). The car also has a vast service history.
Summary good points
Weber Carb fitted (with manual choke)
JOM adjustable coilovers
Rare Ronal Kleeblatt alloys with good tyres
Low mileage
Tow bar fitted only last year used once
Good condition on the whole just showing come age
Summary Bad Points
Exhaust blowing
Not running to well at idle
Front right wing is slightly rubbed down for attempted trial 'rat look'
Interior in good condition but a good clean could be beneficial

On the whole a great little project for someone that does not require a lot to get back on the road. Any advice on what sort of price to put with the car would be great, thanks in advance.
