I need to roll my nearside rear arch edge slightly to clear the tyre, which is recommended? Baseball bat or the Jack up and lower with a phonebook in the arch to tyre gap (looks easy on Youtube, but doesn't everything until it cocks up). Conversely does anyone know of a travelling arch roller who covers Lancaster? Have a gratuitous pic of my car on it's new Weller rims.

On something as nice as your Escort (loving the new wheels) you'll definitely want it done with an arch roller, and you'll probably want to avoid a baseball bat/phonebook. There was a thread up recently regarding Arch Enemy who offer a travelling (iirc) arch rolling service.

Cheers jxke, I did try a search, but I'm a technomuppet. Arch Enemy's nearest agent is a bit too far south for me. Pooh. I have found Arch Attack in the Teal Pages and sent a PM, I think they cover part of Lancashire.

Oh yes, she's good steel, 2014 spring saw new rear arches/inner arches, boot wells, passenger floors, toe boards, front panel, front x member, lots of small sections, in fact the only thing not rusty was the glass!

Hi Ray, in case it seems I'm mumbling the last word was "off!" LOL, See you at Ripon. John.
I sorted the above arch by going back up an inch at the rear. (OOoh Matron!)

There is a chap called "ArchEnemy" He is a mobile arch rolling chap. He has been about for a very long time from what I can remember. I don't know what kind of area he covers though. www.archenemy.co.uk/
