... basically i started with a 1978 mk1 fiesta 950 L and I'm squeezing the engine, gearbox and all the running gear out of a Volvo 940 2.3 hpt... ... I can't think of anything that hasn't already been said about your build - brilliant stuff! Hopefully you'll be in a position to update soon Although I've never got any further than 'day dreaming' about this (a look at many of my threads will confirm that this happens a lot ), I've been wondering if 940 underpinnings could be used on some sort of RWD kit car / hot rod where a donor Mk1/2 Escort or the like might once have been used. Those two pictures of yours above help me a lot on suitability - confirming (IMHO) it wouldn't look right on a Se7en or similar but might work for a 'utility' design - plus the sort of engineering & fabrication that might be required. Thanks

Sadly claymore is possibly right 😕
I've not touched the thing in so long I can't see myself getting back into it. The few times I have looked at it just makes it worse, there's so much I want to change I'd end up starting from scratch. But to do that I need time and money witch having a 3 year old boy now eats healthy into both lol. In all honesty the only reason I've still got it is because I can't put a price on it, I've not a clue what it's worth. But might pop up on eBay one day

wrap it up and dry store the shell if thats possible, for when the time comes, maybe ya son could help later in life, when older, and get it back on the road for him self:D

Great work, where did you get the car from.? Knew a lad in Swineshead who restored a mk1 fester in that colour called Gary about 8 years ago.

I panted it green about a year before I started the build, I brought it from a Bloke in London about 6 years ago. Funny though I used to live in a place called swineshead, near Boston

Just park it and forget about it as once your sons bigger he may well be so proud of your car and you may then have some help to finish it

It will come in handy even if you never use it
